How the receipts work
Every chapter ends with a receipts box naming the operators behind that chapter's consensus. Inside the chapter, each quoted claim is printed verbatim with a clip URL on the line beneath it, like this:
Until you make that first sale, you do not have a business.
▶ Watch the clip youtube.com/watch?v=AnuPv8Pz-Kc&t=650s
The &t=650s at the end of a link is a timestamp. It drops you at the exact second the operator says the line, so you never take the quote on faith. Paste the URL, watch ten seconds, and decide for yourself whether the advice holds. That is the whole promise of this book: a business book you can audit.
Where a claim is tagged "Multiple," it means the same idea showed up across so many independent operators that crediting one would be false. Broad agreement is itself the signal. The clip still points to one real source saying it.
Maya, Devon, Marcus, and Renata are the only invented elements in these pages. They are composites, built from the real founders the council describes, and they exist so the consensus has a heartbeat. Every operator quoted below is real, and so is every word in quotation marks.

The craft of the storytelling itself owes a separate debt to Brandon Sanderson's 2025 writing lectures, which taught the book how to be a story and not a list.
