The short version
This is a free book. If you give us your email to unlock it, we use it to send occasional notes about the book and related work we make — nothing else. We never sell, rent, or share your email with anyone. Unsubscribe anytime and we stop.
What we collect
- Your email address, only if you type it into the unlock box. That's the only personal information we ask for — no name, no account, no password.
- Basic reading stats: which page was opened, the referring page, a random identifier stored in your browser (so two visits count as one reader, not two), whether the book is unlocked on that device, and a timestamp. No IP logging on our end, no fingerprinting, no ad trackers, no third-party analytics.
Both go to our own self-hosted automation server — not to a third-party marketing platform.
What we store in your browser
Two small localStorage values: one remembering the book is unlocked on this device, one holding the random visitor identifier above. Clear your browser data and both are gone. We don't set cookies.
What we'll send you
Occasional emails about this book and related things we build. Low volume, no spam, and every email includes a way out. To unsubscribe or have your data deleted, reply to any email we've sent you and say so — we'll do it promptly.
Third parties on these pages
- YouTube — when you open a source clip, it's embedded from YouTube, and YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies per Google's privacy policy. Clips don't load until you click them.
- Google Fonts — the page loads two fonts from Google's servers, which means Google sees the font request (including your IP address) like any web request.
Terms of use
The book is free to read for personal use. It's opinion and education drawn from public interviews — not legal, financial, or professional advice, and results are never guaranteed. The embedded clips belong to their creators; these pages send you to them and claim no ownership. The site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.
